GENERAL 10 PLUS

GENERAL 10 PLUS consists of 10 complete IELTS General Training practice tests (Tests 1 to 10). As in the official test, each practice test consists of one complete IELTS Listening Test, one complete IELTS Reading Test, one complete IELTS Writing Test and one complete IELTS Speaking Test.

Also included in this pack is SELF-PREP for each module. This is a valuable resource containing techniques, tips and self study activities to help you get a higher IELTS score.

Who For

GENERAL 16 PLUS is for you if you need to practice and improve your score in each module of the IELTS General Training Test. The practice tests help you to become familiar with the question types in each module, to build your language and to improve your speed, while the SELF-PREP helps you to build your test skills for each module

Authentic Tests

All practice tests have been produced by former IELTS examiners and fully-qualified British Council IELTS teachers. This ensures that each test is consistent in style and level of difficulty with the official IELTS Test.

Topics

The topics inside the practice tests are the same topics that are most commonly found in the official IELTS test. This helps you build your vocabulary and knowledge of these key topics.

Questions

All the IELTS Listening question types are included: multiple choice, multiple matching, form/table/note completion, diagram/map/plan labelling, sentence/summary completion and short-answer questions. As in the actual IELTS Listening test, you will hear a wide range of accents from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, America and Canada.

All the IELTS Reading questions types are included: matching headings, matching information, true/false/not given, yes/no/not given, diagram/table/note completion, sentence/summary completion, short-answer and identifying the writer’s point of view.

All the IELTS General Writing question types are included. For Task 1 these include informal, semi-formal and formal letter questions and for Task 2 they include point of view, problem /solution and argument questions.

All the IELTS Speaking question types are included. Each test contains: three or four Part 1 questions, a Part 2 individual long turn question and three or four Part 3 discussion questions.

Answers

Model answers are provided for all writing and speaking questions. All model answers has been produced by qualified IELTS teachers. Each model answer gives you a strong example. You can see what to include in your answer, how to organise your content, how to link your content together and the language you can use for both writing and speaking. All answers are of course provided for all the listening and reading questions at the end of each test.

Transcripts

Transcripts for all Listening and Speaking tests are included.
